Nordic Climate Day on Google Maps

Nordisk Klimadag

The Nordic Climate Day is a school project for children aged 10-16. The objective of the project is to increase the awareness of young people in Scandinavia about the environment and the climate. Another goal of the project is to create a common portal for climate education in Nordic countries.

Schools from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, The Faroe Islands and
Greenland can participate in the project and they can also add themselves to this Google Map mashup. Schools can upload information about their project, a lesson plan or a good idea for teaching about the climate directly to the map. Ideas and projects uploaded will also qualify for a monthly prize draw.

Schools can upload text, video and photographs to the map. When users of the map then click on their map marker the uploaded information will load into the map sidebar.
