Government Take Down Requests Map

Transparency Report: Government Requests

In April Google created a website to show the number of government inquiries around the world for information about users and requests for Google to take down or censor content. Google have now updated their interactive Government Requests Map with data from the first six months of 2010.

To view Google's data for each country just click on the country's map marker. An information window will then open outlining the number of data requests Google received from that country, the number of removal requests and the number of removal requests complied with.

The USA, Brazil and the UK are clearly leading the way in asking Google to remove content.
